Badia a Corte Chianti Colli Fiorentini Riserva D.O.C.G Produced exclusively with Sangiovese grapes from our Badia a Corte vineyard at an average altitude of 350 metres above sea level. This wine is aged in Slavonian oak barrels for 24 months and in the bottle for at least another 12 months. The result is an elegant wine, deep ruby red in colour, with notes of understorey and a full, fruity flavour with silky tannins and a finish with a pleasant freshness. Territory Technical sheet BADIA A CORTE VINEYARD The Badia a Corte vineyard covers about 3.5 hectares, at an average altitude of 350 metres above sea level. The subsoil has a sandy clay loam texture, a mixture of sand, silt and clay with abundant gravel. Only Sangiovese is grown here, and the average age of the vines is about 20/25 years. Production area: Badia a Corte vineyard, 350 meters above sea level, east-facing.

Soil: Sandy clay loam, rich in gravel.

Harvest: end of September – beginning of October

Vineyard size: 3,5 hectares

Vinification: : traditional alcoholic fermentation in steel for seven days for seven days, subsequent skins maceration and malolactic fermentation in steel. 24 months ageing in 25hl Slavonian oak barrels and at least one year in the bottle.

Food Pairing: perfect with all meat and game main courses. Excellent with mature cheeses.
